Let the countdown to spring begin. Goodbye February and hello March.

March journaling cards is all about luck. Our decorative journaling card this month features a cute and simplistic design feature 4 four leaf clovers in various sizes. Of course we had to include our signature journaling card. Keep it chic and modern as always. Like always I used my scalloped edge scissors to give my journaling cards a lil pizzazz. Feel free to cut them out however you want.

What’s in My Backpack?

Getting Personal Posted on %PM, February 20 2019 01:58PM

It’s always cool to see what’s in everyone’s bag so today I decided to take you inside my backpack that I’ve been carry around since I got it in late December.I initially wanted another backpack that could also be used as purse but I came up empty on my search. I came across this backpack in H&M when me and my sister were shopping for clothes for my mother’s funeral. I was supposed to be looking for a pair of dress pants but somehow I wandered into the accessories section.
I’m so glad I did otherwise I would still be bag-less and using a huge shoulder bag. I saw a bunch of bags and backpacks that I had considered purchasing online and thank god I didn’t. I first looked at it and walked away but came right back to it. It was an amazing buy and was on sale for I think $17. I tried searching on H&M’s website but it’s no longer there. As you can see from the photo above I have it packed full. It’s a gray color with gold hardware and print. The straps are adjustable and it has plenty of room to take your whole life with you.
Now lets go inside my backpack. You might be saying she don’t really carry all this stuff everyday. Yep, every piece of it. I’m now working full time with the family business again since my mom passing so I must have everything I need for my business on me at all times.

Pocket TN/Pouch: Mystic Little Gifts Pocket TN in Macchiato. Pouch I made myself.
Hat: Available for sale at my family’s business. I hate hats but it’s super warm and keeps my phone warm. Yes my phone warm because this cold is no joke and will drain the life out your phone in no time.
Mom’s Prayer Card : My mom recently died before Christmas and I’ve had this card on me every day since the funeral. Like having a lil’ piece of her with me everyday.
Clinique Compact Mirror: Had it for a ages and is always with me.
Extra Pair of Socks: It’s cold like I told you and I don’t like being cold. So I always have an extra pair of socks on me.
Bath & Body Works Lotion: This changes regularly because my sister loves giving me her old ones when she’s too lazy to take the cap off and squeeze the last of the lotion.
Book. The Girl Who Takes An Eye for an Eye: I just got back into reading yesterday. I haven’t picked up a book or this book since my mom underwent her procedure in December. I just couldn’t read.
But there is more…

A6 Rings Planner : Mystic Little Gifts A6 Rings Planner in Pink Sand that I use as my personal planner. The TN is for my business.
Lip Balm: It’s winter and a girl’s lips be chapped.
Square Reader: I’ve learned the hard way to always have this one me but you never know when one of my SD customers will want to purchase something or a custom order.
Phone Charger: I bought this baby for my trip overseas but I charge it everyday and pack it in my bag due to the cold weather. My battery has a tendency to drain quicker than I’m using it.
Tissue: Because you never know when you’ll need one.
Card Case: From Mystic Little Gifts and holds all my important cards, business cards and cash.
Sketch Book: Midori A5 MD from Amazon . Love it. Holds all my SDC sketches for my doll die cuts.
Pencils, Eraser and Pen: My usual mix of tools that I like to use when I draw.

So what’s in your bag?

2019 Planner Stack

Planning Posted on %AM, February 12 2019 09:45AM

It’s already February and I haven’t shared my 2019 planner stack. Well if you don’t follow me on social media then you might not know that my mom passed two days before Christmas so I’ve slowed down on a lot of things. With that being said, it also encourage one of new additions to my current planner system. So I’ll start with that.

Towards the end of 2018 I wanted to get into journaling but after my mom passing I knew that I needed to do it to get me through the grieving process. So I purchased the Leuchtturm Hardcover Medium A5 Plain Notebook in Black from Amazon in the A5 size. I originally was going to go with dotted but changed my mind since I knew I wanted to add different elements and the dots would be distracting. I love the paper quality and already it’s starting to chunky up. I want to purchase a cover so it can looks pretty like my planners.

If you’ve been following my planner journey then you would know I’ve tried several different sizes. I think I’ve stayed with personal size the longest but it has it pros and cons. Very portable but doesn’t give you much writing space unfortunately. I’ve been wanting a Mystics Little Gifts planner in Pink Sand since I found this brand. I put in a request in November for my birthday and ended up purchasing it for myself as my birthday gift. MLG came out with rings in mid- 2018 so I was game. I ended up purchasing a ring planner in A6 in Pink Sand with cream elastic and stitching. I couldn’t be happier and I think I can literally stay in this planner for the rest of my life. I’ll eventually do a blog post going inside this planner.
I’m still in my MLG Pocket TN in Macchiato. This is my ride or die for my business. Nothing really has changed as far as the nuts and bolts. Decorations wise, I’m changing it today because it still has fall decor and we’re in the heart of winter. This time I’m going to go with a non-seasonal theme so I don’t have to switch it out so often. Something more timeless.
For my birthday I got a Amazon gift card and I purchased a Midori MD notebook ruled line free A5

. I’ve been using computer or printer paper to draw on since the beginning of time and I finally decided I need a sketch book so I can draw on the go. Also so all my sketches are in one area. I finally decided on the midori in A5 size and I couldn’t be happier.I’m super picky when it comes to paper. The midori paper is the bomb and whatever pen I decide to line my sketches with don’t bleed or smear. The only thing is I need a cover asap because #1 it’s white and #2 I’m already starting to bend up the cover when I put it in my bag. Other then that I”m a happy camper.

This completes my planner stack for 2019. All of these go with everyday except for my journal which stays at home. I definitely want to share the bag that I’ve been using. It holds all 3 with so much room to spare but that’s another blog post.

What’s in your planner stack to 2019?

February Journaling Cards

Planning Posted on %AM, January 30 2019 09:58AM

Goodbye January and hello February. With January behind us we can now look to the month of love and hopefully spring if the groundhog goes in the right direction.
It’s all about love in February which brings us to the theme of this month’s journaling cards. We changed it up from last years and decided on one big red heart. It’s bold and in your face but get the message across loud and clear. Like always we have our signature journaling card with no artwork and the second which does. You know I couldn’t resist using my scalloped edge scissors to add a decorative border. No matter which one you decided to use they’re both equally cute.
