It’s that time again and Memorial Day weekend is fast approaching which means BAM DanceAfrica Bazaar is finally here. If you live in the NY Tri-state area, you’re in for a treat. Every year as long as the weather permits the streets of Brooklyn make a change along Ashland Place into a global marketplace. Starting Saturday, May 24- Monday, May 26 come on down and enjoy the sites and sounds of over 200 vendors offering African, Caribbean, and African-American food, crafts and fashion.

Bazaar? It’s a tradition in Brooklyn by BAM (Brooklyn Arts Music)
during Memorial Day weekend.It’s jam packed with dance,music, film, art,
and community events from Africa and the diaspora.The only outdoor
bazaar of African crafts, food, and fashion.

The
event doesn’t start until 12 noon but we’ll be there bright and bush
tail in the AM.Come early and don’t forget to bring your walking shoes
because there will be tons to see. So mark you calendars.
